BIOGRAPHY: Gabriella Giubilaro

Gabriella Giubilaro began her Yoga practice in 1973 with Dona Holeman in Florence, Italy. After receiving her Doctorate in physics, Gabriella decided to dedicate her life to Yoga in the tradition of B.K.S.Iyengar. She has been studying with the Iyengars yearly since 1983. Since ’87 she has been teaching at her own Studio in Florence as well as workshops in Italy and abroad.

Gabriella is widely known for her dynamic teaching of Iyengar Yoga, her good humor, her attention to individual needs and clarity of her presentation. She believes in communicating the essence of the Iyengar Yoga postures through simple, but meaningful explanations that help her students discover the intelligence of their own bodies, challenging the students so that they can experience their maximum potential.

Description:

This workshop presents strategies to prevent osteoporosis and how to treat it.

You will learn how to tone muscles for good balance and how to keep bones healthy and strong.

Maintaining our bones healthy will help us to maintain stability as we age, and prevent fractures and imbalance.

People suffering from Osteoporosis will in particular benefit from this workshop, but so also well anyone interested in learning more about our body and its functions. Iyengar Yoga teachers will gain valuable knowledge on how to adapt asanas for students with a fragile bone structure.

This class is open to evrybody: any age.
