List of all Iyengar Sessions |
The three Sessions I will teach (this is the second) will introduce fundamental ways on which to build a practice. We will look at how all the asanas are alike in their practice. How to view and thereby create a foundation for their practice.
These are simple concepts that are not so simple in the doing … until we embrace the “mindful†element, and how this can take us beyond just memorizing steps and moving, to learning to adapt the practice to the uniqueness of our own bodies.
We will view the classical asana and the logic for adapting props in a way that should also be helpful to even the most well-seasoned practitioners.
This set of three Sessions will build from one to the next, so you will probably get the most benefit by joining all three. But it will still be OK to take only one or two.
Each 90-minute practice in each Session will be followed by an opportunity to ask questions and gain advice on how to structure a home practice.
