List of Elana’s Sessions

Title:

How to Market Yourself as a Yoga Teacher in Both a Virtual and In-Person World

Type:

[D] Off The Mat / Giving Back to the World

Level:

All Levels

Length:

1.0 hour(s)

Description:

The yoga world has changed dramatically over the past several decades. Join Elana Maggal, former Conference Director for Yoga Journal–at one time the world’s largest yoga publication and conference business–as she discusses what it means to be a yoga teacher in a post-9/11 and post-Covid world. What once was a profession where a yoga teacher needed only energy and a passion for teaching, now relies increasingly on identifying your personal brand. Nowadays, you have to be flexible (and not just in hanumanasana) for both the online and offline worlds! Marketing can be overwhelming–especially as a new yoga instructor–but there are simple ways to share your offerings without feeling overwhelmed by all the business stuff.

Notes:

This session will be most useful for those with questions about getting noticed, as a yoga teacher, in the often-cluttered world of the internet. So do please bring any burning questions you might have!
